Background
Since my youth, I have always had that imaginative side of me coming out by either doodling,
sketching, and hitting the paintbrush. My love of cats goes with my overall
love of animals. I even help the ants get back outside! With cats though I
have always had a love affair. My fondness is for the siamese, I had one for
over 19 years. It was only 5 years ago that a friend placed a block of clay
in front of me, and volia..I was hooked. It's a medium I just love to work
with. My imagination just seems to get more released this way. It is my hope
to share a piece of me with the rest of the world through cat's eyes. I hope
they bring you a smile and joy as much as they do me. Friends and family alike have just been so supportive. I really feel blessed to have found this passion, and be able to pursue it. If you would like to share with me your imagination for a special custom cat, send me an email! I look forward to it. |

How I make Them
My technique has really become more evolved and honed over time. The cat
structures sometimes have very bizzare internal organs.( Hey, I'm a recycler ), Celluclay, Clay, Shake and Bake, Varnish and volia!. Indestructable Life Size Cats - no litterbox needed! Your right, my living in Florida reflects in my love of brilliant color and so Acrylic is the way of "Le Chat pour Moi" I spend many hours applying just the right colors, changing the positioning, sculpting those facial details right down to the wisker implants! The finishing touch of course is making those glass, hand-painted cat's eyes suit the overall personality. It takes in the range of 80-120 hours to make the large cats if the creative energies are all flowing good !.( fyi - That was "Saguine" my Meow supervisor & sometimes unvoluntary cat model) |
